Tony Baboon Presents: Neighborhood Stories

Saturday, June 27, 4:00 PM
Groupama Lounge, “Tudor Vianu” Theatre

After performing twice at Sziget Festival and taking part in The Voice of Romania last year, Tony Baboon presents his latest project: Neighborhood Stories, the first comic book about the history of Romanian hip-hop.

The comic tells the story of hip-hop culture through the eyes of three protagonists: Brugner, Dacian (Getto Daci), and Macanache, each offering a unique perspective on rap music and street culture. Inspired by real-life events, the comic recreates the atmosphere of the 1990s, featuring personal stories, places, and moments that shaped the beginnings of Romanian hip-hop. The project was developed over approximately nine months through extensive research and collaboration with members of the hip-hop community.
